This coin is the third of a 4-coin “Birds of Prey” series that commenced with the Peregrine Falcon. They follow up on the successful 6-coin “Wildlife Series” by the Royal Canadian Mint. Mintage is restricted to 1 million coins for each issue. The Red Tail Hawk was launched in January at the 2015 World Money Fair.
